We’re getting south, closer to Venezuela. This 30 something island here are another jewel – a pretty well kept secret, it seems. Or what do you know about St Vincent and the Grenadines? Not even Wikipedia knows a lot.

In the hills of St Vincent we stayed for a few days and had some lovely interaction with locals. They are so friendly and sharing!

They have the Sparrows Rum – they filmed some parts of ‚the pirates of the carribean‘ here – i don’t know which was first. The rum or the movie. They also have a rum which is called ‚Sunset very strong rum‘ -it costs 30 east carribean dollar, arround 12 US. It’s 84,5 % – and they warned me, that people do stupind things when they had some rumpunch. Well I had some rumpunch and yes I did stupid things… To drink a beer early in the morning is nothing special here – it’s very island – no one looks at you like they would back home!

My first snorkling event ever – aquarium live even with some hugh turtles, pretty impressive stuff and with only snorkling gear not so much of a hassle compared to diving.. Turquois waters, white sand beaches, clear water – incredible out there in the tobago keys!

On our host island in Bequia we are spending the days on a terasse overlooking the bay with beautiful sunsets while drinking some Hairoun beer (the original name for St Vincent).

And this sunburn from the snorkling session which still feels like sandpaper on my back. I think we both never been that brown before in our whole lifes…
