Curaçao is very dutch. Most people speak four languages: dutch, english, papiamiemto and many also spanish. As mixed up as the languages here are also the people, which is really the best part of this island. Willemstad is half pretty and half ugly: they refine a lot of  oil from Venezuela and then send it back there, so there’s a lot of industrial uglyness in the capital. On the other hand they have a few colorful rows of houses which reminds of the Netherlands.

It has a good quality if life in terms of comfort, which also makes it a bit boring. The beaches are very pretty, but also small and overcrowded. That’s why it isn’t very touristy developed I guess. Anyways: It was a nice treat to  buy some Galbani Buffala Mozarella and all the other nice products, which we have at home too… Yummm!
