Arrived here on monday, got a totally untouristy hotel for good value, did three days of walking the beaches and streams, did nothing for a day and am now totally confused of of what my next step should be. The choices are all very unsatifactory because the prices of hotel at the pacific coast are horrendous. Shared dorm with six bunkbeds is 30 USD a night! Sharing with the surfer dudes, no fucking way! The other option is San José, the capital, where it is supposedly cold again. Also very high prices for Hotels.

After two days of not beeing able to make up my mind, I choose the capital – I found a nice little airBNB, or so I hope. After almost a week in Uvita I finally manage to move on, away from the coast again. Maybe I’ll check out the caribbean side of Costa Rica as well, or otherwise I maybe ‚flee‘ to the cheaper neighbouring country of Nicaragua.
